Maschinenraum expands further: TROESTER becomes part of the innovation-ecosystem

Hannover/Berlin

The family-owned company TROESTER, internationally known for machinery and plant engineering for rubber and plastics processing, becomes part of the Machine Room. The alliance of more than 40 SMEs as well as university partners and other innovators is working together on the digital transformation of German SMEs. TROESTER, a family-owned company, wants to use the exchange with other members of the Machine Room to gain new impetus in dealing with challenges in corporate culture, sustainability and product innovation, among other things.

The company was founded in 1892 by Paul Troester – today, around 650 employees work globally at locations in Germany, China, the USA and Russia, among others. TROESTER has been successfully developing and producing machines and systems for international customers in the rubber and plastics industry for 130 years.

Innovation does not always have to take place behind closed doors

“The energy turnaround, for example, is having a positive impact on our business, whereas in the rubber sector, however, we are constantly faced with new challenges, due to increasing e-mobility and the associated new requirements for tires. What both scenarios have in common, however: They drive product innovation. That’s exactly what our ‘pilot plant’ is for, a test hall where we work with our customers to break new ground. Together. And to break new ground, we have also joined the engine room as a conscious investment in our future,” says Stephan Bartelt, CFO at TROESTER.

“From practice for practice, at eye level – we are definitely fulfilling this wish with our innovation ecosystem. I am sure that the other members will learn a lot from TROESTER. And vice versa, TROESTER will also get valuable, new impulses to courageously face the challenges of our time,” says Tobias Rappers, Managing Director of Maschinenraum.
